What Rebirth Is
GudzRO's permanent progression ceiling is Transcendent Second Class at Base Level 99 (Job Level 70) — not the normal Second Job you reach on your first playthrough. Rebirth is the step in between: you give up your current Base Level to start over as a "High" Novice, then climb back up through a High First Class into the Transcendent version of your original class (Knight → Lord Knight, Priest → High Priest, and so on). Third Jobs and any Renewal-era classes are not part of GudzRO's progression.

Am I Eligible?
You need a Second Class character at Base Level 99, Job Level 50. This is the live requirement enforced by GudzRO's actual Rebirth NPC (Valkyrie, reached through Metheus Sylphe in Juno) — below that, the quest simply won't let you proceed.
What It Costs
1,285,000 Zeny, and nothing else — no item is required. Before you'll be allowed to proceed, you also need: 0 Weight, an empty inventory (nothing carried, nothing equipped), and no Cart, Falcon, or mounted Peco Peco. The quest checks for unspent Skill Points too — spend them all before you go.
One note on unspent stat points: GudzRO's current Rebirth script doesn't check for these the way classic Ragnarok does, so leftover stat points won't block you the way leftover skill points will. Spending them first is still good practice — there's no benefit to holding them, and Rebirth resets your Base Level regardless.
What Happens
Your Base Level resets to 1. Your Job Level, stats, and skills are not reset — everything you've built carries forward. You become a High Novice and receive a one-time bonus of 52 stat points on top of what you already had allocated — the same bonus official classic Rebirth grants.
High Novice → High First Class → Transcendent
From here, the climb uses the same Job Master NPC and the same level gates as your original First and Second Job changes: Job Level 10 to become a High First Class, then Job Level 40 to become your Transcendent Second Class. There's no separate Rebirth-specific gate for these two steps.
One thing to watch for: the intended design keeps you in your original class lineage (a former Assassin should only be able to become a High Thief, then Assassin Cross). GudzRO's currently-live Rebirth flow doesn't enforce that lock yet — a documented, accepted gap for this phase, not a bug you need to report. In practice, just pick the High First Class that matches the guide you're aiming for.
Which Class Do I Become?

Where to Start
Speak with Metheus Sylphe in Juno's library, read the Book of Ymir, and confirm with Valkyrie once you meet the requirements above.
The Final Ceiling
Transcendent Second Class caps at Base Level 99, Job Level 70. Individual stats still cap at 99 each — Rebirth doesn't raise that ceiling, it unlocks a new class and skill kit at the same stat cap you already know.
