What Changed

Player-facing changes to the GudzRO client and Patcher, in plain language.

Open Beta is live — see the Open Beta Is Live announcement. Latest gameplay changes are in November 3 Updates below. Earlier notes remain under Auto Grind SP Recovery, Late October Updates, and October Updates. Historical Closed Beta patch notes remain for reference.

GudzRO — November 3 Updates

Confirmed player-facing changes available on Open Beta as of November 3, 2026. Earlier Auto Grind SP Recovery and Late October notes remain below.

Features

  • VIP Warp. Active VIP can use @warp <map> and @warps (optional Towns / Fields / Dungeons / Special filters) to travel to approved destinations only. Custom coordinates are not allowed. Staff warp rules are unchanged.
  • AutoPot. Active VIP (and authorized staff) can use @autopot to drink HP/SP potions from inventory automatically. When AutoPot owns a pool, Auto Grind skips that potion slot (F4 for HP, F5 for SP).
  • Command Center. A town Command Center NPC offers short tips for Player and VIP-facing commands. Use @help <command> for usage details.
  • Population counts. @who / @online report Players Online, Citizens Online, and Total Population. Citizens are Ambient Adventurer NPCs and are never counted as players.
  • Legendary Equipment Trials. Talk to the Master Artisan of Midgard in the Mall (mall01, 84, 138). Complete staged hunting trials (regular monsters, mini-bosses, then MVPs), gather the remaining materials the Artisan asks for, and claim a legendary relic. Four trials are available; each reward can be claimed once per character.

Events concluded

  • Hallows' Eve Event ended. The Prontera seasonal NPC (151, 190) is no longer available.
  • x2 Rates weekend ended. October 31 through November 2, 2026 (server time). Open Beta rates are back to normal.

Auto Grind — Smarter SP Recovery

Confirmed player-facing Auto Grind improvements shipped October 30, 2026. Earlier Late October notes remain under Late October Updates.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Smarter SP handling. When combat skills need more SP than you have, Auto Grind uses your F5 SP Potion when it can, instead of getting stuck retrying skills that cannot cast.
  • Safe rest when potions are not enough. If SP still cannot cover your rotation, Auto Grind can step back within your farming area and sit to regenerate when the area looks clear. It stands again once you have enough SP for the next skill in your F1–F3 order.
  • Normal attacks as a fallback. If resting is not practical, Auto Grind keeps farming with normal attacks whenever that is viable, then returns to your configured skills when SP recovers.
  • Skill order preserved. Auto Grind keeps your F1–F2–F3 order. Self-buffs are only cast when their effect is missing, so it does not burn SP re-applying buffs you already have.

GudzRO — Late October Updates

Confirmed player-facing changes shipped after the October 8 Updates note through October 28, 2026.

Features

  • Floating NPC labels. Service NPCs in Prontera and the Mall now show clear tags above them (for example [ Warper ], [ Healer ], [ MVP Gacha ], [ Copy Skill ], [ Card Remover ], and [ Gudz Donation Shop ]) so you can spot what you need faster.
  • Esmeringhoy's Copy Skill. Rogues and Stalkers who already know Plagiarism can set their copied skill at Prontera (166, 165) without waiting for another player to hit them. Looking and canceling are free. A successful copy costs 5,000 Zeny, or is free while VIP is active. One copied skill at a time; normal skill requirements still apply. Preserve still blocks replacement, same as a live Plagiarism copy.
  • Mang Gagacho. Spend MVP Coins on a Mall gacha at mall01 (108, 130). Big wins get a proper server-wide announce.
  • More Costume Enchant options. Additional POD Monarch costumes — including recent Halloween POD pieces — can be enchanted at Malangdo. Bring one costume and the matching enchant stone.
  • Hallows' Eve Event. Was available in Prontera (151, 190) during the seasonal window (Trick / Treat). The event has since ended — see November 3 Updates.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Auto Grind for bow users. Archer / Hunter / Sniper Auto Grind should no longer stall when combat skills are on cooldown — it closes to bow range and keeps attacking more reliably.
  • Storage tip. With Kafra Storage open, hold Alt and Right-Click an item to move the full stack with no amount prompt. Works both ways (inventory ↔ storage).

GudzRO — October Updates

Confirmed player-facing changes shipped after the September 11 schedule note through October 8, 2026. Open Beta launch and wipe notices were already posted separately.

Features

  • Auto Grind. Farm nearby monsters AFK with a daily time limit. Use @autogrind on / off / status on eligible field and dungeon maps. Put combat skills on F1–F3, potions on F4/F5, an optional emergency skill on F6, Fly Wing or Teleport on F7, and potion boxes on F8/F9. Auto Grind now skips unaffordable skills, recovers SP when needed, uses F7 more reliably when no monsters are nearby, and recovers better when stuck. Homunculus skills can assist while grinding. Star Gladiators can clear Hatred targets with @hatereset.
  • Website account login. Log in at gudzro.com/login with your game userid and password to manage linked accounts, password, and email.

Fixes & Improvements

  • Card Remover accessories. Fixed accessory selection so Right and Left Accessories now target the correct equipped item.
  • OBT client branding. Select Service now shows [GudzRO OBT], and screenshots watermark to www.gudzro.com.
  • Falcon Cloak visibility. Cloaked Hunters/Snipers with a Falcon no longer leak position to other players while moving.
  • Hunter Fly Card drain display. HP drain from Hunter Fly Card (and similar effects) now shows properly in combat.
  • Dead Branch & Bloody Branch shops. These are no longer sold in player shops (mall, POD Store, or MVP Room). Monster drops and quest sources are unchanged.
  • Shop headgear tooltips. Mall, MVP, and POD headgear descriptions now match their real in-game effects.
  • Client rendering lock. Stable DirectX compatibility files are delivered through the Patcher for more consistent display.
  • Ambient Adventurers. Town ambient NPCs behave more reliably in combat and movement after fights.
  • Pioneer Fairy Hat tooltip. Correct client description for the CBT Pioneer Fairy Hat recognition item.

Closed Beta Update — September 6

  • Patcher connectivity issue fixed. The Patcher could briefly fail to check for updates earlier today. This is resolved — if it happened to you, just relaunch the Patcher. No patches, accounts, or game data were affected.
  • Standalone Patcher re-issued. If you downloaded just the standalone Patcher (not the full client) today, please redownload it from Downloads. A brief window served an older build — it still works, but the current one is ready now.

2026-09-05

Closed Beta Update — September 5

  • Map Attack event completely redesigned. The Five Towns invasion (Prontera, Payon, Morocc, Geffen, and Alberta) now has a proper three-wave structure per town, capped by a rotating Town Guardian boss, and ends in a two-boss finale against Tito Bossing and Moonlight Flower. All-new dialogue throughout, with a 3-day rotation so the monster roster and story beats don't repeat every single day. Still triggers automatically — no change to when it happens.
  • Bomb Poring Event fixed. Joining alone no longer wins the event instantly — you now have to survive all five waves like everyone else.
  • Last Man Standing Event fixed. Registering alone no longer wins the event instantly either; the event now correctly cancels if not enough players register. Also fixed a bug where a solo registrant could get stuck on the arena map after the event cancelled.
  • Last Man Standing reward updated. The winner now receives 50 Event Points and 1 MVP Coin, matching the Bomb Poring Event's reward.

2026-09-04

Closed Beta Update — September 4

  • Founder Closed Beta is open to everyone. No invite code needed anymore — register and start playing.
  • New Alternate Job Quest guides. Full step-by-step walkthroughs for Taekwon, Ninja, Gunslinger, Star Gladiator, and Soul Linker are live on the Guides page.
  • Job Master offers alternate classes. Taekwon, Ninja, and Gunslinger can now be chosen instantly from the Job Master NPC alongside the standard first classes.
  • Bio Lab 3's random MVP fixed. The dungeon's random MVP now spawns reliably and makes the map PvP-enabled for as long as it's alive.
  • Falcon no longer gives away hidden players. Using Hide or Cloak while your Falcon is summoned now correctly hides it too, instead of leaving it visible on PvP maps.
  • Costume Enchant NPCs fixed. They were rejecting every costume; they now correctly recognize and enchant costumes you own.

2026-08-31

Closed Beta Update — August 31

  • Costume EXP & Drop bonuses. Qualifying costumes now provide +5% Base/Job EXP and +5% item drop rate per qualifying costume, up to 4 qualifying costume slots.
  • Sleipnir & Moonlight Flower Card movement speed fixed. Their speed bonus now correctly stacks with Increase AGI instead of being overridden by it.
  • New Ancient Whisper quest. A new quest offering a craftable costume reward.
  • Daily Reward variety. Daily Rewards now rotate through a variety of bundles instead of the same one every day.
  • WoE castle-conquest reward fix. Corrected an issue where castle-conquest rewards weren't always being awarded.
  • New GudzRO Patcher. The latest Patcher adds safer update checks, clearer real progress while patches download and install, and more reliable News refreshing. Download the latest GudzRO Patcher and install it into your GudzRO folder. If you already have the full client, you do not need to redownload it.

2026-08-15

RC02

  • Play is more reliable. The Patcher now asks for Windows permission only when it's actually needed to start the game, instead of sometimes doing nothing when you clicked Play. If you were previously told to launch GudzRO.exe directly instead of using Play, you shouldn't need to anymore — just use Play as normal.
  • Everyone gets this fix automatically with the current RC02 download. If you already have an older client installed, grab the standalone Patcher update from the Downloads page instead of redownloading everything.
