Quick Build
- Recommended Build
- Weaponry Research + Mammonite
- Playstyle
- Straightforward weapon-attack damage, no gimmicks
- Difficulty
- Easy — a flat, predictable damage profile
- Primary Stats
- STR, DEX, VIT
- Primary Weapon
- Axe or Mace
- Best For
- Players who want simple, reliable weapon-attack damage without managing a complex rotation
- Strengths: Weaponry Research is a clean, unconditional
+2 hit, +2 ATK per levelpassive; Mammonite is a strong flat-multiplier skill (+50% per level) whose Zeny cost only affects cast cost, not damage. - Weaknesses: self-forging your own weapons isn't currently usable content on this server — zero NPCs call the underlying script command — so don't build around that fantasy; this is a weapon-attacker build, not a crafter.
Why This Build?
Blacksmith's forging passives exist in the data, but the self-forge-your-own-weapon system they support has no NPC anywhere on the server that calls the produce script command — it's simply unreachable content here, confirmed by a direct search of every NPC file. What genuinely works is Weaponry Research (a flat, no-SP-cost ATK/hit passive) combined with Mammonite, a real flat-percentage damage multiplier. Zeny only appears as Mammonite's cast cost, not a damage-scaling term — so don't expect your wallet size to matter for damage output, just keep enough Zeny on hand to keep casting.
Stat Progression
| Stage | STR | AGI | VIT | INT | DEX | LUK |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Novice → Merchant | 30 | 1 | 30 | 1 | 20 | 1 |
| Early Blacksmith | 50 | 1 | 40 | 1 | 35 | 1 |
| Mid Blacksmith | 70 | 1 | 50 | 1 | 45 | 1 |
| Endgame (Lv.99) | 99 | 1 | 55 | 1 | 55 | 1+ |
STR is your main damage stat, DEX keeps hit rate and Mammonite reliability up, VIT is a straightforward survivability lever. AGI and INT are dump stats for this build.
Skill Progression
Max First
- Hilt Binding (no prerequisite) — prerequisite for Weaponry Research.
- Weaponry Research (requires Hilt Binding 1) — your flat, unconditional damage floor.
- Mammonite (no prerequisite) — your core damage skill.
Core
- Hammer Fall (no prerequisite) — a stun-on-hit skill, useful setup.
- Adrenaline Rush (requires Hammer Fall 2) — a real ASPD buff.
- Power-Thrust (requires Adrenaline Rush 3) — a damage buff, worth taking.
- Weapon Perfection (requires Weaponry Research 2, Power-Thrust 2) — removes weapon size penalties for a duration.
- Maximize Power (requires Weapon Perfection 3, Power-Thrust 2) — converts SP into a flat damage boost.
Optional
- Enlarge Weight Limit, Discount, Overcharge, Pushcart, Vending — Merchant-branch economy utilities, genuinely useful for managing your own farming logistics even if you're not playing a dedicated market character.
Not Practically Usable
- Iron/Steel Tempering, Enchanted Stone Craft, Oridecon Research, and the Smith Dagger/Sword/Axe/Mace/Knuckle/Spear lines — the self-forging system these feed has no working NPC path on this server.
Equipment Progression
The Battle Axe (ATK 80), shop-confirmed at Alberta, Einbech's Two Hand Weapon Dealer, and Nifleheim's dedicated Axe Dealer, is a strong, widely-available starting weapon. The Chain Mace (ATK 84) at Umbala is a solid alternative.
Weapon Progression & Cards
Multiple shops carry the Battle Axe, so it's easy to pick up early regardless of where you start. Card-wise, general STR/damage cards apply well here.
- Skeleton Worker Card: +15% damage against Medium-sized enemies, +5 base ATK.
- Kobold Card: +1 STR, +4 Critical Hit rate.
Leveling Guide
| Level Range | Where to Go | Why It Works |
|---|---|---|
| 1–20 | Early open fields | Mammonite carries you comfortably from the start |
| 20–40 | Slightly tougher fields, early dungeons | Weaponry Research's flat bonus keeps damage climbing steadily |
| 40–55 | Early dungeons, Kobold-type spawns | Worth farming for Kobold Card |
| 55–70 | Mid-tier dungeons | Adrenaline Rush and Power-Thrust online, damage and speed both up |
| 65–80 | Tougher dungeons | Maximize Power adds another flat damage layer |
| 75–99 | Late-game hunting grounds | Full flat-multiplier kit online, a reliable damage floor throughout |
What Should I Farm?
- Skeleton Worker Card and Kobold Card — the same general-purpose picks that serve every melee weapon-attacker.
Party Play
Blacksmith's flat-multiplier damage is just as useful in a party as solo, and Merchant -branch utilities (Discount, Vending) make you a natural logistics hub for a group. Nothing about the core build changes between solo and party play.
