Before You Start

You'll need to already be a Taekwon at Job Level 40 or higher before Kid will take you seriously. You'll also need to spend every last skill point you have — twice, at two different points in the quest — before you can move on.

Step-by-Step Walkthrough

  1. 1. Talk to Kid inside a building in Morocc

    He's at (174, 30). Work through his questions — pick the option that pushes back on his attitude, then ask "Soul Linker?" when he brings it up, then agree with "Alright. What do I have to do?" He'll ask for three items:

    • 1× 3 Carat Diamond
    • 1× Immortal Heart
    • 1× Witherless Rose

  2. 2. Deliver the three items

    Bring all three back to Kid. He'll reveal his real name is Maia and ask you to come back shortly.

  3. 3. Spend your skill points, then talk to Maia again

    Make sure you have zero unspent skill points. Talk to Maia again — she'll ask you to close your eyes, and you'll be warped into a special area representing your own mind. A 3-minute timer starts the moment you enter — if it runs out before you finish talking to Maia and a spirit, you'll be sent back to Morocc automatically, but you won't lose any progress. Just talk to Maia again to go back in.

  4. 4. Talk to Maia inside your mind

    This usually happens automatically as soon as you arrive.

  5. 5. Speak with one spirit

    Three spirits wait nearby — a Monk Spirit, a Sage Spirit, and an Alchemist Spirit. You only need to talk to one of them (any of the three works) to move on.

  6. 6. Return to Maia and finish

    Talk to Maia again. When she asks, choose "Become a Soul Linker" instead of continuing to chat. Make sure you're not riding a mount and have no unspent skill points. The job change happens immediately, and you're warped back to Morocc.

Materials You'll Need

  • 3 Carat Diamond — commonly found inside Treasure Chests.
  • Immortal Heart — a drop from Verit.
  • Witherless Rose — sold directly by flower vendors in several towns, including Lighthalzen.

What You Get

You'll become a Soul Linker. No starting weapon is handed out for this one — the reward is the class itself.

Tips

  • Buy the Witherless Rose ahead of time so you're not scrambling for it — it's the easiest of the three items to get.
  • The 3-minute timer only applies once you've actually entered the "inside your mind" area — there's no rush before that point.
  • If someone else is in the middle of their own ceremony when you try to enter, Maia will ask you to wait — only one player can be inside at a time.
  • Don't forget to dismount and spend your skill points before the final conversation with Maia, or she won't let you finish.
